Following a bloody fourth season finale, Paramount+ has announced that its Jeremy Renner-led crime drama series “Mayor of Kingstown” has been renewed – one last time.
The streamer confirms the Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon-created series will be getting a fifth and final outing which will also clock in at a shorter eight episodes, not ten like the prior seasons.
Recent cast addition Edie Falco will be returning alongside Renner in the new run. The recent season did not break into Nielsen’s originals Top 10.
It marks the first ongoing Sheridan series to set an end date since Skydance took over Paramount as new seasons of “Landman,” “Tulsa King” and “Lioness” have all been ordered.
Meanwhile, Netflix has officially renewed its Lily Collins-led drama “Emily in Paris” for a sixth season.
The renewal order comes two weeks after the arrival of all ten episodes of the fifth season which have ended with several cliffhangers involving relationships for the characters.
The key one with Emily suggests the show may be heading to Greece for the next season, but those involved haven’t confirmed if that’s the case.
