Elvira herself, actress Cassandra Peterson, has joined the cast of Rob Zombie’s “The Munsters” movie.
Zombie announced the news in a Twitter post, revealing Peterson is slipping into a pink plaid suit to play the prim and proper Barbara Carr, the top real estate agent in all of Mockingbird Heights.
Peterson joins a cast that includes Jeff Daniel Phillips as father Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as mother Lily Munster, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster, Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Sylvester McCoy as Igor, Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp, and Jorge Garcia as Floop.
The key roles of son Eddie and cousin Marilyn have yet to be announced.
