Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, soon to be seen in “Tenet,” has been cast as Diana, the Princess of Wales in the fifth and sixth seasons of “The Crown”.
In a statement posted on the streaming giant’s Twitter account, Debicki says: “Princess Diana’s spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many. It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from episode one.”
Newcomer Emma Corrin will play the young Diana Spencer in the upcoming fourth season, whereas Debicki will tackle the part during the 1990s and up to her death in 1997 in Paris.
