Production has officially begun on Eli Roth’s live-action film adaptation of Gearbox Software’s hit video game series “Borderlands” in Hungary.
The action-comedy will center around a group of Vault Hunters who must travel to the distant planet of Pandora in order to retrieve advanced technology buried in an alien vault before it falls into the hands of the Atlas Corporation.
The ensemble cast is impressive and includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black, Haley Bennett, Ariana Greenblatt and Florian Munteanu.
Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) penned the script while Erik Feig, Avi Arad and Ari Arad are producing.
