Elba, Majors Have Stopped Shooting “Harder”

The highly anticipated new Netflix western film “The Harder They Fall” has hit pause following an unnamed cast member testing positive for COVID-19.

Boasting the stellar cast of Idris Elba, Regina King, Lakeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo, Zazie Beetz and “Lovecraft Country” breakout Jonathan Majors, the project halted production last week on Thursday and no word as yet when it might resume.

It’s also not clear if one of the primary cast members tested positive or if it was a supporting star or even an extra. Elba is the one least likely to have it as he already contracted COVID-19 earlier this year.

Boaz Yakin is helming the project which had been shooting for five weeks after production was initially delayed from beginning back in March.

Intermittent production delays are becoming the new norm for film projects in the modern age, even with the extra precautions in place to help prevent the spread of coronavirus on the sets of movies and TV series.

Both “Jurassic World: Dominion” and “The Batman” have had temporary production shutdowns due to COVID-19 infections.
