Edgar Ramirez (“Carlos,” “Point Break”) is in talks to join Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson and Haley Bennett in Tate Taylor’s film adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ best-selling novel “The Girl on the Train”.
Blunt plays a woman devastated by her recent divorce who spends her commute fantasizing about a seemingly perfect married couple who live in a house that her train passes every day.
Along the way, she becomes entangled in a mystery revolving around the couple. Jared Leto and Chris Evans are also in talks to board the pic.
Ramirez would play a therapist, Dr. Kamal Abdic, who is involved in an affair with the married Megan (Bennett). Cressida Wilson adapted the script while Marc Platt will produce.
