Murphy will star in three films for Amazon Studios and develop original film projects for both them and directly for the Prime Video service with the potential to star in them.
Murphy has had strong film success in the streaming realm in recent years, the ‘America’ sequel following his acclaimed turn in Netflix’s “Dolemite Is My Name’.
Murphy will next produce and star in “Beverly Hills Cop 4” and a Kenya Barris-directed comedy both for Netflix.
