Peacock has premiered an early teaser trailer for “Bel-Air,” a more dramatic reimagining of iconic Will Smith-led sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
Set to a downbeat spoken word version of the original show’s iconic theme tune, the clip is more of a concept teaser and so a standalone and bespoke piece with no real footage from the new series.
Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones will star in the series which follows a young man from Philadelphia sent to California to live with his wealthy Uncle.”
The series will premiere on Peacock next year.
