Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for its live-action and CG hybrid family film “Clifford the Big Red Dog” based on the famed Scholastic kids books.
The story follows a middle-schooler named Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) who meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little red puppy, only to wake up the next day to find the dog is now ten feet tall.
Complicating matters is her small New York City apartment, but with the help of her impulsive uncle (Jack Whitehall), Emily goes on an adventure to get matters settled before her mom (Sienna Guillory) gets home from a business trip – all with Clifford in tow.
The early teaser comes a full year ahead of the movie’s currently November 5th 2021 release date and doesn’t show any actual movie footage – mostly just serving as its own thing to show how Clifford can be brought to life.
Walt Becker helms the film which also stars Tony Hale, David Alan Grier, and Russell Wong.
