A new listing in the very long-running Production Weekly database, and found by World of Reel, has seemingly offered a synopsis for the upcoming Daisy Ridley-led “Star Wars” film currently in the works.

Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (“Ms. Marvel”) is helming the project set roughly fifteen years after the events at the end of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.

“Peaky Blinders” creator and “Eastern Promises” scribe Steven Knight is penning the script for the film, with the listing indicating that shooting is set to take place from April next year at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.

It lists “Star Wars: New Jedi Order” as the film’s title and offers the following synopsis:

“The sequel delves into Rey’s courageous endeavor to restore the Jedi Order, where she assumes the role of a mentor to two promising young students—a girl and a boy. As their training progresses, it becomes evident that the girl possesses an extraordinary abilities, destined to emerge as the future leader.”

The project is currently set for a May 22nd 2026 release and is expected to be the first new “Star Wars” film in cinemas since ‘Skywalker’ released in December 2019.

At least two other films are in development from Dave Filoni and James Mangold, both much earlier along in development. Other projects from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins have been scrapped.
