EA Responds To “Jedi Survivor” Bugs

EA

EA have launched “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”, and so far, the game reportedly has been plagued by technical issues across every platform it is on.

Whilst the consoles it is said to be minor, PC in particular, is having a very rough go of it according to widespread reports, with things having gotten bad enough that Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have had to issue a statement on the matter today.

Interestingly some of those with the most powerful hardware are the ones facing the most issues. Developers said in the statement that “there is no single comprehensive solution for PC performance”.

They are working on fixes we believe will improve performance across various configurations, but each patch “requires significant testing to ensure we don’t introduce new problems.” EA has not given a window for when the patches will start rolling in.

As with the recent “The Last of Us Part I” PC port, the game is getting hammered on Steam with over 58% of the reviews for the title negative. Naughty Dog has consistently been rolling out patches for “The Last of Us Part I,” hopefully EA will follow suit and do the same for ‘Jedi’. Outside of the glitches, reviews for the game have otherwise been very positive.

This continues a seemingly increasing trend for performance issues for PC ports of titles over the past six months or so, with games like “Gotham Knights,” “Hogwarts Legacy,” “Wo Long” and more all suffering from issues with their PC ports.

A new commercial for the game is also out and has fun with the property as the game’s leading star Cameron Monaghan gets ‘trained’ by Mark Hamill in a motion capture studio.
