EA is reportedly working on a single-player, large open-world game based on Marvel’s “Black Panther” property according to Giant Bomb.
The title is reportedly in the early stages of development and is “very likely” to be produced at a recently established Seattle-based EA studio headed by Kevin Stephens (“Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor”). Reporter Geoff Grubb says:
“The game starts with Black Panther being dead. The player is going to take on the challenges of becoming the new Black Panther and that seems to be the set-up for the game.”
The game is reportedly going by the name ‘Project Rainier’ and would mark one of the few single player-centric titles in the works at EA which had recent success in the field with “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order”. That game is getting a follow-up next year.
