EA Ditches “Battlefront 3” For “Fallen Order 2”?

In the wake of the “Star Wars Battlefront II” debacle over micro transactions which led to a sweeping call for reform across the games industry, Electronic Arts has had to claw back some respectability for “Star Wars” video games.

They did so by gradually turning “Battlefront II” from a joke into a solid game with plenty of free support and expansions, and made good headway with fans with last year’s single-player driven “Jedi: Fallen Order”.

Recently DICE confirmed the Scarif expansion for “Battlefront II” will be its last, and that may be it for sometime to come as a new report from the reliable Bespin Bulletin suggests EA has no plans for a third “Battlefront” game.

The report indicates DICE will instead be focusing on the next instalment of the “Battlefield” franchise. At the same time Respawn Entertainment’s “Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order” will get a second chapter slated for sometime in 2022. While it wasn’t raved about, it did earn very solid reviews and sales for the title were very high.
