Following a massive social media campaign under the hashtag of #ForceForDaniel, 32-year-old Daniel Fleetwood was able to watch an unfinished cut of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” early. Fleetwood was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma in July and was given two months to live.
The campaign, launched on Twitter by his wife, Ashley, last month, had gained the attention of stars from the movie. Ashley revealed today that his dream had come true and thanked Abrams, Disney and Lucasfilm for making the private screening happen.
YES! Thank you @Disney, @HamillHimself, @starwars and everyone who helped this man get a smile on his face! pic.twitter.com/mWrF1xqqbY

I just read this and am elated for Daniel & his family! Thanks to the powers-that-be for making his dream come true. https://t.co/ImiAdyBxf8
