“Dune: Part Three” Wraps, ‘Prophecy’ Resumes

Warner Bros. Pictures

It’s a busy day today in the world of “Dune”.

First up, Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three” has seemingly wrapped filming with a photo of signage from what appears to be the wrap party going online (via Timothee Nation).

Filming on the third film officially began back on July 8th, and the wrap comes just over four months later – that’s inline with the first “Dune” and about 2-3 weeks shorter than the second.

The project now has thirteen months before release and will be in post-production throughout 2026. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy and Robert Pattinson all star.

That’s not all though as HBO has announced that its TV spinoff series “Dune: Prophecy” has officially started production on a second season.

The episode order for the second run is increasing from six to eight, despite the mixed reviews the first season received.

New cast members have also been announced including a trio of very familiar British faces – Indira Varma (“Game of Thrones,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi”), Ashley Walters (“Adolescence,” “Missing You”) and Tom Hollander (“The White Lotus,” “The Night Manager”)

Filming takes place in Hungary, Jordan and Spain with season one showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker returning. That season will likely air in 2027.
