Powered by “No Time to Die,” “Dune,” and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” the global box-office is firing along nicely it would seem.
With numbers in from over the weekend, “Dune” ended up with $40.1 million in North America and with a further $47.4 million from overseas to bring its global total to $220.7 million through Sunday. In addition, the film is seeing strong holdovers in the markets it’s playing.
James Bond’s newest entry has now reached $525.4 million worldwide, with the international box-office hitting a $405.6 million total gross so far and now the second biggest Hollywood film of the year behind only “F9: The Fast Saga” and Bond hasn’t hit China as yet.
The “Venom” sequel pulled in another $38.3 million overseas for an offshore total of $170.6 million and a global haul of $352.4 million so far. “Halloween Kills” pulled in a further $10.1 million to now stand at $90.9 million overseas with quite a few key markets to go.
This coming weekend won’t see much change, but Marvel Studios’ “Eternals” arrives next week and should see some strong sales despite the divisive reviews.
