Josh Duhamel is in talks to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in the romance adventure feature “Shotgun Wedding” at Lionsgate.
Duhamel would replace Armie Hammer who dropped out of the project last Wednesday. At the time a production representative said: “Given the imminent start date, Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.”
The pair play a couple who gathers their families together for a destination wedding. Things start to go south, however, after the pair gets cold feet. Things really take a turn for the worst when the entire wedding party is taken hostage.
Jason Moore will direct from a screenplay by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether. Lopez, Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman produce.
Duhamel will soon be seen in Netflix’s “Jupiter’s Legacy” which is set to debut later this year.
