Filming has wrapped on a biopic of “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson titled “The Blind”.
Set in the 1960s Deep South and shot on location in Louisiana, the film offers “never-before-revealed aspects of Robertson’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, addiction and complicated family dynamics – ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place”.
Aron Von Andrian, Amelia Eve, Brielle Robillard and Matthew Erick White co-star whilst Stephanie Katz penned the script. The Andrew Hyatt-directed film is targeting a theatrical release date of September 22nd 2023 with distribution plans currently being finalized.
The original “Duck Dynasty” series on A&E was a massive hit across its eleven seasons, setting multiple records for the network with one of the seasons averaging 9.4 million viewers throughout.
Robertson endured some controversy for some incendiary comments in an interview a decade ago.
