Major TV Series Halt Production: Updated

Yesterday we’d heard of several yet to be shot shows, and a small number of network and streaming shows shutting down production due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, that trickle has turned into a flood with dozens of major series across major networks and streaming services all suspending production for at least two to three weeks. Those with live audiences and in environments which are considered a risk are the ones getting shut down first.

The unplanned hiatus arrives ahead of several of these series shooting the final episode or two of their runs for the current TV season and it’s expected the shows will be able to finish their current episode where possible and will then call it a season and go on break. Those not in full production yet are just straight up pausing.
