Robert Downey Jr. will restore classic cars in a new unscripted series for the Discovery+ streaming service.
Going by the working title “Downey’s Dream Cars,” the series will launch in late 2022 on the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming platform.
Produced by Robert and Susan Downey, the series sees Downey Jr. and his team of experts revive classic cars – doing so in a way that turns them into eco-friendly automobiles for the 21st century.
Downey Jr. says in a statement: “My goal is to showcase that it’s possible to keep the integrity of classic cars while leveraging new tech and innovation to make them more eco-friendly.”
This marks the second project out of Team Downey for Discovery+ after the four-part docuseries “The Bond”.
