New Line has temporarily shut down production on the Olivia Wilde-directed “Don’t Worry Darling” following a member of the production testing positive for COVID-19.
The film has been following strict protocols, and the positive result came up during routine testing, though it is not a member of the principal cast. However it was someone who was in close enough proximity to them that the planned two week shut down was deemed necessary.
Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll star in the film which was shooting downtown Los Angeles when it happened yesterday. So far no one else has tested positive at this point.
The story is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert. Carey and Shane Van Dyke penned a script rewritten by Wilde and Katie Silberman.
Shooting began last month and they are a couple weeks into production.
