Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” was viewed by 2.7 million households during its first week on the streaming service HBO Max.
That number beats other streaming debuts such as Peacock’s “Firestarter” remake and the HBO Max release of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” both of which clocked around 2 million viewers over their first week period.
The information was pulled from the almost 700,000 Samba TVs in United States households which includes measuring 3 million smart televisions and mobile viewing. The film over-indexed in Portland, Sacramento and Boston.
The release follows on from the $87 million global box-office haul of the film, which opened in cinemas 53 days ago and was a social media lightning rod.
