On the weekend, filmmaker Todd Phillips posted the first photo from the set of “Joker: Folie a Deux” which just had its first day of filming.
The photo showed off a look at Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role of Arthur Fleck from the 2019 film as the character was being shaved.
We also know that Phoenix will heavily be sharing screen time with Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn in what is essentially a musical that takes place within the walls of Arkham Asylum.
Naturally, fans of the singer and of the first film are curious to see what Gaga’s look will be in the movie. Philips, on his Instagram account, sadly says that it’ll be a little while longer before said look will be revealed.
The reason, he says, is that Gaga isn’t on set yet and won’t begin shooting her scenes until after the New Year.
Shooting on the project is expected to extend well into 2023 ahead of the film’s overall release on October 2024.
