Don Johnson To Get His Knives Out

Don Johnson is closing a deal to join the ensemble cast of “Brick” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” director Rian Johnson’s next feature “Knives Out” for MRC.

The story is described as a modern-day murder mystery in the classic Agatha Christie whodunit style with Daniel Craig and Lakeith Stanfield playing the detectives. Like almost everyone cast so far, specifics of the role are under wraps.

Chris Evans, Michael Shannon and Ana De Armas also star in the film which Rian Johnson is writing and directing and will produce with his producing partner Ram Bergman.

Shooting kicks off next month, but Don Johnson’s scheduling will involve some figuring out as the former “Nash Bridges” star is currently shooting HBO’s “Watchmen” series.

Johnson will next appear in re-teaming with his “Brawl in Cell Block 99” director S. Craig Zahler for the Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn-led “Dragged Across Concrete”. That film premiered on the Fall festival film circuit to some interesting reviews.
