Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming “Jurassic World Dominion” is serving as the conclusion of not just the “Jurassic World” trilogy, but the prior “Jurassic Park” trilogy as well.

That’s partly why the likes of Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are reprising their roles as it’s the end of an era for the franchise. That said, it’s certainly not the end of the franchise according to producer Frank Marshall.

‘Dominion’ sees the dinosaurs now on the mainland amongst us and with this, it leaves the door open for more. Speaking with Slashfilm recently, he was asked if he envisions there being more films beyond ‘Dominion’ to which he replied “Yeah, absolutely”.

He goes on to explain the franchise intends to pause and take stock of where things are at after ‘Dominion’ opens:

“I think that ‘Dominion’ is going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, ‘Camp Cretaceous,’ on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the ‘Jurassic’ world.”

“Jurassic World Dominion” opens in cinemas on June 10th.
