As we know, original “Jurassic Park” stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum are set to reprise their iconic roles as Dr. Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm in Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming “Jurassic World: Dominion”.
One obvious concern by fans is that their appearances will simply be cameos, not unlike Goldblum’s in “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” or Dern’s in “Jurassic Park III”.
That is not the case says Neill who opened up about his return to the franchise with Yahoo Movies recently and confirmed the trio of actors are present throughout the upcoming film and are integral to the storyline:
“We’re all the way through the film, Jeff [Goldblum], and me, and Laura [Dern]… [I] probably won’t be running quite as fast as I was 27 years ago.”
The film is scheduled to resume its production in the UK next week after it had been temporarily suspended for the past three months.
Neill also says three cast members are already in quarantine and he is hoping he could finally join them in: “about ten days… we’re all going to be living in the same joint for three or four months, so that’s going to be fun. And everybody loves Chris and Bryce as well, so I think we’ll be a very happy bunch.”
Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow return to executive produce the film with Trevorrow once again directing. Jake Johnson, Omar Sy Daniella Pineda and Justice Smith co-star.
“Jurassic World: Dominion” is currently set to debut in cinemas on June 11th 2021.
