Dominic Monaghan is reuniting with his “Lost” producer J.J. Abrams as part of the cast of the currently in production “Star Wars: Episode IX” at Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm.
Specifics of his role are under wraps, but his involvement has been a long time coming – the actor had hoped to be a part of the action on “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” several years ago but it didn’t happen. Now it’s a go.
The hiring comes as the first set photos from the film have popped up online showing Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac) back together and Chewbacca joining them on a mission in which Naomi Ackie’s still unnamed character is also involved.
The project is three weeks into production and StarWarsNews.Net has a new report indicating Abrams rewrote some of the script right before shooting got underway – mostly to incorporate Lando and more Chewbacca into the film.
