Actors Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are reportedly set to leave “Doctor Who” in the upcoming Christmas special for this year.
The pair, who play companions Graham and Ryan to Jodie Whittaker’s The Doctor, joined the TARDIS crew when Whittaker came onboard in 2018. Their exit would leave only Yaz (Mandip Gill) as the Doctor’s sole companion unless another is announced.
According to Radio Times, it would be an open-ended departure which would allow for the pair to make sporadic appearances. Filming on the thirteenth season is still said to be months off.
Cole recently booked a role in the U.S. legal drama “61st Street” while Walsh’s commitments to several other shows have left him time poor so his exit is understandable.
The Christmas special is titled “Revolution of the Daleks” and will air around year’s end.
