A while back came word that Sam Raimi’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” at Marvel Studios would undergo some additional filming and reshoots.
That’s par for the course with any Marvel film, though at the time it wasn’t clear what was being added. Now, THR reports that those reshoots are wrapping this week.
In addition, they’ve also learned that part of the reshoots may have been influenced by the multiverse fun of both “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Loki” with alternate versions of characters appearing onscreen – sometimes by the same actor, sometimes not.
As a result, the studio is opting to have “more fun with the multiverse” which will include more cameos and character introductions.
The first trailer for the film was released alongside “Spider-Man: No Way Home” but hasn’t been released online as yet.
“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” opens May 6th next year.
