Marvel Studios has reportedly been continuing pre-production remotely on the upcoming Sam Raimi-directed “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
The film is reportedly still on track to start shooting in June, despite it still being likely that assembling a large crew and the required sets will still be an issue at that time.
This is different to many other tentpole films who have already begun shooting like “The Batman,” “Red Notice” and “The Matrix 4” which have delayed their productions indefinitely and causing havoc with schedules and availability.
Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Dr. Stephen Strange while Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Wong are also expected back. Michael Waldron is re-writing the script from Jade Bartlett.
At present, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 7th 2021.
