“Doctor Odyssey” Canceled At ABC

ABC

ABC has officially canceled its Ryan Murphy-created medical dramedy “Doctor Odyssey” after one season at the network.

The series has been on the bubble for two months as every other show on ABC had received their renewal or cancelation decision by April.

The network has long drawn out the decision, but TV Line reports that one has been made for them as the cast’s contracts expire on Monday – meaning they’re free to book other projects.

The show has also been embroiled in some controversy following three former crew members filing a lawsuit against Disney and 20th Television, alleging an “unchecked campaign of sexual harassment for months” with an assistant prop master accused of lewd behavior.

Joshua Jackson starred in the series as Max Bankman, a doctor on a luxury cruise line called the Odyssey, who works with his staff to address complex medical emergencies miles from land.

Don Johnson, Phillipa Soo, Sean Teale, Jacqueline Toboni, Marcus Emanuel Mitchell, Rick Cosnett and Laura Harrier co-starred while the likes of Rachel Dratch, Shania Twain, Kelsea Ballerini and Angela Bassett guest starred.
