Disney+ has premiered the trailer for the second season of its “The Santa Clauses” TV series starring Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell.
The Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott (Allen) continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans were thwarted when failing to find a worthy successor in season one.
Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Calvin (Austin Kane) to eventually take over the ‘family business’ as Santa Claus.
“Modern Family” alum Eric Stonestreet joins the cast this year as Magnus Anta, aka the Mad Santa, who ran the North Pole in the 14th century and aims to challenge the current reign of Scott and his family.
Also staring are Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Devin Bright, Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias, and Tracy Morgan in a guest role as the Easter Bunny.
Allen, Jack Burditt, Kevin Hench, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, Jason Winer and Jon Radler are executive producers.
The holiday-themed series returns with a double-episode season premiere on November 8th.
