Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first official poster for the highly-anticipated animated fantasy feature “Raya and the Last Dragon”. The one-sheet comes ahead of the film’s first trailer which arrives tomorrow.
The story unfolds in the mysterious realm of Kumandra and centers on warrior Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) as she seeks for the last dragon before the evil force of Druun destroys the realm. Awkwafina plays the dragon when it is in a human form named Sisu.
Written by Adele Lim (“Crazy Rich Asians”) and Qui Nguyen, the film is being directed by Don Hall (“Big Hero 6”), Carlos Lopez Estrada (“Blindspotting”), Paul Briggs (“Zootopia”) and John Ripa. It is targeting a March 12th 2021 release.
