Marvel Studios’ “Loki” series had the biggest launch of any show on the Disney+ service. A possible reason for that, beyond the obvious draw of the series itself, is a key scheduling change.
Disney opted to launch the series on a Wednesday rather than a Friday, the day they have released new episodes of all their shows since the service began.
The move paid off though, so much so Disney has changed things up and, going forward, all its original series will now drop on Wednesdays. This includes all original scripted, unscripted and animated series.
As a result of this change, several series are now scoring new premiere dates:
July 7th: “Monsters at Work”
July 16th: “Turner & Hooch”
July 21st: “Behind the Attraction”
July 28th: “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life,” “Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts,” “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” S1B
August 4th: “Short Circuit” S2
August 18th: “Growing Up Animal”
Not making the move will be Disney+ Original Movies which will continue to premiere on Fridays.
