Disney Shifts “Dog Stars,” “Gatto” & “Ready”

Pixar

Disney has announced release date shifts for a number of projects.

First up, two untitled films set for September 11th 2026 and November 6th 2026 have been removed from the slate altogether.

A third, originally set for March 5th 2027, has been pushed back to June 18th 2027. That film is effectively swapping places with Pixar’s black cat film “Gatto” which was in the June 18th 2027 slot and now takes that March 5th 2027 slot.

In that new slot, the Pixar film will go up against “The Thomas Crown Affair” remake and an untitled Warner Bros. film. The movie follows a black cat named Nero who is indebted to a feline mob boss.

The biggest change of the schedule is that Ridley Scott’s “The Dog Stars,” starring Jacob Elordi, has been delayed five months. The title has been pushed back from March 27th 2026, to August 28th 2026. Its new release will have it taking on the “Cliffhanger” reboot and “Coyote vs. Acme”.

The Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures has also moved up “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come”. That title, originally dated April 10th 2026, will now go earlier and be released on March 27th 2026.
