Disney+ has announced a January 15th premiere date for “WandaVision,” its first streaming series from Marvel Studios. The six-episode series stars actors Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
The company previously had suggessted the series would bow in December, but COVID-19 has massed up release schedules throughout Hollywood.
The show takes inspiration from 1950s sitcoms and finds Wanda (Olsen) and Vision (Bettany) living their ideal suburban lives, until they begin to suspect not everything is as it seems. The series will directly impact the films – integrated in a way none of the previous series were.
The streaming service was expected to have “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” ready for 2020 back in August, but that series had to pause production which prevented that.
