Disney has announced that as part of its 100th anniversary celebration, it will have special engagement theatrical re-releases of eight classic studio films – all are animated bar one.

Each film will get a two-week limited run and will be released back to back over the course of four months. Tickets are already available now via Fandango.

The films include a blend of some of the Mouse House’s most acclaimed films of all time including three Pixar titles and four Disney animation titles.

The schedule is as follows:
July 7th-20th: “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”
July 21st-August 3rd: “Toy Story”
August 4th-August 17th: “Frozen”
August 18th-31st: “Beauty and the Beast” (1991)
September 1st-14th: “The Incredibles”
September 15th-28th: “Coco”
September 29th-October 12th: “The Lion King” (1994)
October 13th-26th: “Moana”

The release dates come as Disney has also announced that Lin Manuel-Miranda’s Broadway musical “Hamilton,” which first premiered on Disney+ in July 2020 with a live stage recording from 2015, is getting a singalong version.

The American Film Institute named that 2020 stage recording one of the best movies of that year. This singalong version, which features lyrics on the bottom that audiences can sing along to, releases this Friday, June 30th on the Disney+ service.
