Disney Studios is reportedly developing a reimagining of the 1986 sci-fi live action feature “Flight of the Navigator” for its Disney+ service.
Joey Cramer, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Veronica Cartwright starred in the original film which follows a boy who travels eight years into the future and has an adventure with an intelligent, wisecracking alien ship (voiced by Paul Reubens).
Randal Kleiser (“Grease,” “The Blue Lagoon”) directed the original from a script by Michael Burton and Phil Joanou. Bryce Dallas Howard is attached to direct and produce the new version.
