Disney+ has landed the rights to a major feature documentary package with a deal reportedly worth about $30 million.

Titled “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances And the Years That Made His Legend,” the project hails from Oscar-nominee R.J. Cutler as well as filmmaker and John’s partner David Furnish.

The feature mixes unseen concert footage of John over the past 50 years, exclusive new interviews, hand-written journals and present-day footage of him and his family. The package also includes the rights to livestream John’s final North American concert at Dodger Stadium as part of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour”.

The project will initially have a festival run followed by a limited theatrical release and then be made available exclusively on the Disney+ service.
