Amazon Studios has reportedly closed a first-look deal with dj2 Entertainment (“Sonic The Hedgehog”).
Under the deal, dj2 will offer Amazon Studios the opportunity to pick up any film or TV show they come up with to stream exclusively on the Prime Video service.
In fact, dj2 is currently in early development of series adaptations of both the Square Enix published “Life Is Strange” and indie developed ZA/UM hit “Disco Elysium” for the streamer.
Both games involve layered narratives and characterisation with player choices that can heavily impact the outcome of the story with numerous alternative storylines possible.
‘Life’ involves a young woman who witnesses a childhood friend being shot which triggers her ability to rewind time but also a premonition of disaster. ‘Elysium’ follows a detective who must solve a murder case while dealing with drug-induced amnesia.
