Depp-Heard Trial Becomes A Tubi Movie

FilmDistrict

The Tubi streaming service has set a September 30th air date for the telemovie “Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial”.

The scripted narrative feature follows the tumultuous relationship – in and out of court – of actors Johnny Depp and Heard, dramatizing the controversial two-month defamation trial which concluded in early June.

The film stars Mark Hapka (“Days of our Lives”) as Depp, Megan Davis (“Alone in the Dark”) as Heard, Melissa Marty (“Station 19”) as Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez and Mary Carrig (“Law & Order: True Crime”) as Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft.

Sara Lohman (“Secrets in the Woods”) directs from a script by Guy Nicolucci (“The Daily Show”) with the project fast-tracked into production by Tubi and MarVista.
