“The Godfather Part II,” “The Irishman” and “Heat” duo Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are reuniting on screen once again, this time for filmmaker Ridley Scott and his new “Gucci” feature at MGM and Scott Free.
Lady Gaga is set while DeNiro, Pacino, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jack Huston and Reeve Carney are all in talks to join the film in which Gaga, in her first post-“A Star is Born” role, is attached to star as Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci – grandson of fashion dynasty founder Guccio Gucci.
She was tried and convicted of orchestrating her ex-husband’s assassination on the steps of his office in 1995. Maurizio had left her for another woman while she had a brain tumor removed and her children blamed it for her actions.
Roberto Bentivegna is penning the script based on the Sara Gay Forden book “The House of Gucci”. Ridley scott, Giannina Scott, and Kevin Walsh will produce.
Scott still has to finish shooting his period drama “The Last Duel” starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. That film was due out this Christmas but will now open sometime in 2021 and production resumes on it next week.
