The Disney+ service has confirmed that the two “Deadpool” movies and the Hugh Jackman-led “Logan” are all coming to the Disney+ service from tomorrow (July 22nd).
The additions mark a turning point for the Disney+ service as they will be the first R-rated movies available in the United States and follows in the wake of Netflix’s R-rated Marvel TV series hitting the service in March.
Overseas, the Disney+ service has been offering R-rated films and series for some time, mostly via its ‘Star’ section. In response to the news, actor Ryan Reynolds has also had some fun in a tweet you can see below.
We’re supposed to announce Logan and Deadpool will soon be the first R-rated movies on Disney+. But we all know some Disney movies should already be rated R for irreversible trauma. pic.twitter.com/FoIbiwKhiG
