The second half of the DC Fandome event took place over the weekend and whilst there was no film trailers or major news, there were a number of short updates on DC Comics-inspired screen projects.
One of the biggest updates deals with filmmaker Andy Muschietti’s “The Flash” with he and his sister/producer Barbara Muschietti on hand for a Q&A session about the movie which will see Ezra Miller reprise his Barry Allen role.
Andy Muschietti tells ComicBook.com his film is a “very deep emotional story, but it’s also gonna be very funny hopefully and a great, epic adventure at the same time. And also terrifying sometimes.” Barbara adds that: “Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn’t forget anything.”
Next, a fourth season of “Young Justice” has been given the go-ahead just as the third season (dubbed ‘Outsiders’) finished airing the other week. Titled “Young Justice: Phantoms,” there are no additional details available including its home which will likely be exclusively on HBO Max.
Then, a brief clip shows a first look at Krypto the Superdog in the”DC Super Pets” animated film which hails from writer/directors Jared Stern (“The Batman Movie”) and Sam Levine.
