Syfy has handed out a ten-episode order for a TV series inspired by George A. Romero’s classic 1985 zombie feature “Day of the Dead”.
The remake of the third of Romero’s ‘Dead’ films will follow the intense story of six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion. The original film has been remade twice before, most recently in 2018.
The series is being produced by Cartel Entertainment with both Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serving as writers and showrunners.
Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Drew Brown, Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson and Jordan Kizwani are executive producers on the project.
