The other week came the news that actress Rosario Dawson had been cast as Ahsoka Tano in the second season of “The Mandalorian” TV series for the Disney+ streaming service.
Dawson has long been a popular fan casting choice for the character who has been a big part of the animated “Star Wars” series but has never appeared in live-action form.
Now, in a recent interview with Variety, the actress has spoken about her potential involvement, suggesting she can’t say anything until the studio does:
“That’s not confirmed yet but when that happens, I will be very happy. I’m very excited for that to be confirmed at some point. [It would be ] a million and one percent because of the fans.
The two universes, Star Trek and Star Wars. I get in those two, I’m telling you, man, that’s it. I will just retire. And then I can just concentrate on going to school and running for office. That would be it.”
“The Mandalorian,” set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, has already wrapped filming on its second season ahead of a planned October debut.
