Rosario Dawson Keen To Do More “Ahsoka”

Lucasfilm

Whilst “The Mandalorian” and “Andor” have multiple seasons, “The Book of Boba Fett” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” are one-offs. So what of the upcoming “Ahsoka”?

The series follows Anakin Skywalker’s Togruta padawan Ahsoka Tano. The project is set in the wake of her live-action appearances and also serves as a follow-up to the animated “Star Wars Rebels”.

Only one season of “Ahsoka” has been done, and for now, it seems that’s the only one to have been ordered. Should a renewal order be handed out, the series’ leading lady Rosario Dawson says she’s all in.

As she told Empire magazine recently:

“I’m absolutely putting it out into the universe. We’re joking about it, but I’m manifesting it because I feel like I helped Dave [Filoni, Star Wars mastermind and Ahsoka Tano’s co-creator] manifest this role. So I’m ready. I’m excited. I’m willing. I got my ice-packs ready to go for Season 2 and beyond! I would not be mad at that.”

Events of the first season take place years after the events of ‘Rebels’ as Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) has been wandering the galaxy and is still searching for the missing Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) last seen having disappeared into the unknown regions with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen).

The show’s cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Diana Lee Inosanto and the late Ray Stevenson. “Ahsoka” premieres on Disney+ in August 2023.
