Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (“Straight Outta Compton”) are set to co-star in the high-stakes, high-top dramatic comedy “American Sole” for STXfilms.
The story is set in the world of after-market sneakers, one of the fastest-growing areas of in-demand streetwear. Kevin Hart, NBA All-Star Chris Paul and “How To Make It In America” creator Ian Edelman are all producing along with Jake Stein.
The story follows two twenty somethings (Davidson and Jackson) with mountains of college debt who use the fast cash of after-market sneaker reselling to achieve their American dream.
But when their startup runs out of cash and a shady investor is their only way out, the dream quickly becomes a nightmare. The tone is said to be akin to “Hustlers”. Stadium Goods serves as a consulting producer on the project.
