Filming has wrapped on the third entry in the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise, and director David Yates has reportedly entered talks to direct a new original drama feature at Sony Pictures.
The story is said to be in the vein of “Wolf Of Wall Street” and set in the world of pharmaceutical sales and the opioid epidemic. An A-list actress is being sought for the lead role.
The currently untitled project boasts an original screenplay by Wells Tower with Lawrence Grey producing.
The aim will be to shoot next spring and mark Yates second non-“Harry Potter” film this decade (the other being “The Legend of Tarzan”).
