Apple TV has released a date announcement trailer for the upcoming second season of “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters” which has set a February 27th release.
The ten-episode second season sees Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm starring, while Kurt Russell will also return as Lee Shaw.
Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.
The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.
The first season was a breakout hit for Apple TV, leading to its quick renewal, though numbers weren’t really revealed. Reviews were generally quite good.
The new season, which wrapped production back in February, will begin with one new episode on February 27th before weekly drops of new episodes through May 1st.
